TRUTH BEYOND SCIENCE

In "the time of the end many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased", we read in Daniel 12:4. The Hebrew meaning of the word "knowledge" here, is "cunning". It is now said that in the last eighteen years scientific knowledge has more than doubled. Science operates in the knowledge of cause and effect. It deals with natural phenomena, but the beginning of things and the end of things, or what lies ahead are hidden to science. Here man must be informed by a higher intelligence. That intelligence is God, the Creator of all things, including past and present life on this planet.
True science and the Bible are in perfect agreement, but how tragic that many scientists refuse to agree with the Bible in all it has to tell us. Such men lack-faith in God. They are Godless! That is why modern science, though a great boon to man in many things, has brought upon man a great fear of self destruction. The Lord Jesus truly said, "What shall it profit a man though he gain the whole world [and all its science, we might say] and lose his own soul." Mark 8:36. Scientists must agree to the Bible truth of Hebrews 9:27, "It is appointed unto men once to die", but what follows is ignored: "and after this the judgment"!
In their determined efforts to rule out God and to discredit the Bible the evolutionists tirelessly dig into the crust of the earth in quest of old bones and fossils. They exult in guessing the age of these relics, attempting to connect them with the ever elusive "missing link in the evolution of man". How true is Paul's inspired statement in I Corinthians 1:20, 21, "Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this world? Hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it please God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe."
Past Ages Explained
How does it strike the Bible-believing Christian when he reads a newspaper headline: "Discovery Pushes Evolution Date Back Million Years"? He reads on that through modern "radioactive-dating" scientists conclude that the monkey-like skull found near "primitive tools" in East Africa by Dr. Leakey, is 1,750,000 years old. The humble child of God can say, So what! God's Word informs us that before the present Mamie creation (now almost 6,000 years old) began there was another creation of unrevealed duration before this earth, by a cataclysmic judgment (see II Peter 3:5, 6), "became waste and void", remaining so who knows how long? All past geological ages of our earth fit in here.
"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was [Heb.---`became'] without form and void [or `waste'] ; and darkness was upon the face of the deep." Genesis 1:1, 2.
The Bible has all the answers for refuting evolution. In Isaiah 45:18 we read, "For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens: God Himself that formed the earth and made it; He hath established it. He created it not a waste, He formed it to be inhabited: I am the Lord and there is none else." (Revised Version.) There you have it friends, not from science but from God, the Creator of the universes, that the origin of all matter and of all life came by God's creative power. The entire fabrication of the evolutionists is destroyed by their forced admission that they have no answer for the actual origin of life and of matter. In contradistinction to boastful science the Bible-believer humbly accepts the truth of Hebrews 11:3, "Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God [see Psalm 33:6, 9 here], so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear."
Future Things Revealed
As for future things, hidden from science, Bible-believers can know that "man's day" with all its vaunted scientific knowledge and achievement will come to a sudden end in the soon-expected "appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ". Titus 2:13; II Thes. 1:7-10. With rebels destroyed Christ will "reign in righteousness". Isa. 13 :9-11; Psalm 72. He will then be the direct source of knowledge only beneficial to man, for He has predicted: "They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain [or kingdom], for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover
the sea." Isa. 11:9.
Meanwhile God calls: "Look unto Me and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God and there is none else." Isa. 45:22. "For it is written, As I live saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me and every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God." Romans 14:11, 12; Isa. 45:23; Phil. 2:9-11.
Reader, "now is the accepted time, Behold, now is the day of salvation" (not after death). Be wise in the knowledge of the Lord and bow now before Him confessing Jesus Christ as your personal Savior from sin and its penalty—eternal separation from God in "outer darkness". Believe that Christ bore your penalty for sin "in His own body on the tree" (I Pet. 2:24), so that you might go free and live with Him eternally. Behavior-works are not required for this. "For by grace [unmerited favor], are ye saved through faith! and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God; not of works lest any man should boast." Ephesians 2:8, 9.
