Sudden Space Flight Soon!

by Ed Stevens

Divine revelation foretells that "in the time of the end many shall run to and fro and knowledge shall be increased." Daniel 12:4. While men with increased knowledge are building missiles and rockets for war and attempted space travel, Bible believers know that Christ is still building His church, His "one body", and that this body of saved people may any moment now, by God's power, suddenly disappear from the earth. They will "meet the Lord in the air", passing THROUGH SPACE into "the third heaven" (see II Cor. 12:2). We are fast entering "the last days" of man's day, when the judgments of Revelation 6 through 19 will occur. Before this the prophecy of I Thes. 4:14-17 will take place:

" . . . For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we [saved ones] which are alive and remain shall be CAUGHT UP together with them in the clouds TO MEET THE LORD IN THE AIR: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."

It is quite evident that God's revelation to man, the Bible, with its unfailing prophecies of past fulfillment and of future prediction, is proudly ignored by men gloating in present day scientific ability. That dreams of "space stations" and "inter-planetary space travel" will abruptly come to naught is seen in the prophecy of Isaiah 2:17,19, quote:

"The loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day. And they shall GO INTO THE HOLES of the roeks and INTO THE CAVES of the earth, for fear of the Lord and for the glory of His majesty when He ariseth to shake terribly the earth." See also Isa. 24:17-23.

Then, "When Christ who is our life shall appear then shall ye [caught up ones] also appear with Him IN GLORY." Col. 3:4.
Then Revelation 11:15 will be fulfilled: "The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ; and HE shall REIGN FOR EVER AND EVER."

Let us remember, "We have also a more SURE WORD OF PROPHECY, whereunto ye do well that ye take heed as unto A LIGHT that shineth in a DARK PLACE, until the day dawn and the day star arise in your hearts." II Peter 1:19. Friend, what will it be for you, "holes" or "glory"?

"God would have all men to be SAVED and to come unto the knowledge of THE TRUTH." I Tim. 2:4. Thus, no one can blame God for being LOST! "The wicked shall be turned into hell and all the nations that forget God." Psalm 9:17.

"God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." "The wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 5:8; 6:23.
By the grace of God Christ tasted death for every man. He said, "He that heareth my word and believeth on Him that sent me, bath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life." Hebrews 2:9; John 5:24.

"I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord God: wherefore TURN YOURSELVES and live ye." Ezekiel 18:32. "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ [and His saving work for you on the cross] and thou shalt be SAVED." Acts 16:31; I Cor. 15:1-5.
